Visit to Fort Wayne

The girls and I spent three weeks in Fort Wayne while our kitchen was being renovated and we got to spend a lot of time with the grandparents. There was a blizzard while we were there, so we got our fill of snow! Our kitchen is still not finished but it will be soon and we'll post pictures.

Playmates

Lily and Juliet have become great playmates! The baby follows her big sister around, copying her, and Lily is happy to play along and make up stories about what they are pretending.

Juliet is now pulling up on furniture to stand and is also getting into all kinds of trouble (such as climbing inside of cabinets - Lily thinks it's hilarious). Baby loves to play peek-a-boo and to show us that she is "so big".

Our big girl Lily in recent weeks decided to start using the potty and is now wearing panties all of the time except when she is sleeping. Unfortunately, she hasn't been sleeping well since being potty trained and we hope it isn't the end of naps for good!

Build A Bear

We went to Build A Bear with Lily for the first time and it was a cute place. She got to put a heart in the bear she picked out, as well as a voice (it giggles). Then she used a foot pedal to fill it with stuffing and watched it get stitched up. She gave the bear a bath, picked out an outfit for it and made a birth certificate, naming it Lulu. What a fun experience for her!

Christmas Day

Christmas morning we opened presents, ate pancakes, and then played with all the new toys!

Preparing for Christmas

In the week before Christmas, Lily and Juliet decorated their own little tree, and undecorated it, and redecorated it...
We made Christmas cookies and, of course, sampled them.

Lily helped make a gingerbread house and then wanted to eat it immediately.

We had a hot chocolate party on Christmas Eve and left cookies and milk out for Santa. Lily insisted that he wanted chocolate milk.

Jules just watched and looked cute. At her 9 month checkup, she was in the 80th percentile for both height and weight.
