Cousins

The Emricks visited Fort Wayne last week and it was the first time we have seen them since their move to New Jersey this winter. We got to meet sweet baby Makenzie, now four months old, for the first time! It was good to catch up and the girls had fun playing together.

Splash into Summer

Summer is here and Lily, our little water bug, is loving it. She could spend all day in the water and is lucky her Nana and Papa have a neighborhood pool she can visit. Juliet is content to watch from the sidelines for now.

Daddy Love

The other day Lily watched Cinderella for the first time. When the Prince appeared, Lily gasped with recognition and said "Daddy!" Michael is a wonderful dad - he is great with the girls and they just adore him. He is our ideal man.

Happy Fathers Day!

For Sale

We have been very busy this past month getting our house ready to put on the market and it is now officially listed for sale. With a lot of help from our parents we finished painting the garage, cleared out and painted the basement, and basically cleaned and organized the entire house. It has never looked so good! We hope to get some showings and sell the house quickly so we can buy a home in Baltimore.

In the basement, painting the floors and putting in a workbench made an incredible difference.

I think the office is our nicest room - we love the built-in bookcases.

The garden is now beautiful thanks to my mom's green thumb.

The most gorgeous blooms from our peony, my favorite.

26 Months Old

Lily has grown up so much lately - she's not our baby anymore but our little girl. She is talking a lot and picking up new things everyday. She throws stormy, dramatic tantrums and is also often unbearably sweet. The other day while I was getting ready I found she had pulled a stool up to the crib where her sister was. I was immediately worried she would try to grab Juliet or throw things in her crib but I heard her talking so I hung back in the doorway and listened. Lily was saying "love you sister, love you sister."

2 Months Old

At Juliet's 2-month doctor visit, she was 23 inches long and 12 pounds, 4 ounces. She has gained five pounds of sweet baby chub since she was born! She is a happy baby and loves it when we talk to her and sing to her. I think we are more laid back this time around and are really enjoying her babyhood.
