Two Tea Parties

Lily and Juliet had their first official tea party together the other morning, complete with ketchup and crackers. Then that afternoon Juliet was playing by herself in the living room. When I went in to check on her she had her Dora doll on one of the little chairs and they were having their own tea party! (The doll was meant for Lily but Juliet has claimed her. She has added a new word to her vocabulary, too: "Dora".)

Nana's Visit

Michael's mom visited over the weekend and although it was 100+ degrees each day, it was good to spend time together. We went to the aquarium, took Lily to her first movie, "Winnie the Pooh", and celebrated Nana's birthday.

Secret Clubhouse

This is Lily and Juliet's Sisters-Only Secret Clubhouse. As Lily informs me, there are no mamas allowed. Sometimes they get a little wild, but the girls love to play in here. Juliet is getting more independent by the day and is always running away from us and refusing to hold hands in public places. Today I told her it was nap time and she shook her head no, making a mad dash into the clubhouse. Lily went in to reason with her (since I'm not allowed) and I heard her say, "I'll eat you up, I love you so!" followed by shrieks and laughter. She was, appropriately, quoting Where the Wild Things Are.

An Exciting Week

A few weeks ago Grammy and Grandpa came to visit and we played outside, swam, and went to the children's museum and zoo. The last day we went to Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and met my sister and her family there. The cousins had a blast going on rides (even Juliet!), playing in the water park, and meeting a "real live princess".
