Easter Egg Hunt

This year we had a beautiful day on Easter and the girls got to have a big Easter egg hunt in the backyard. We spent the afternoon outside, and then Lily and Juliet searched for the baskets the Easter bunny left them in the house. They had a lot of fun with it...and ate way too much candy!

New Swing Set

This week is Lily's Spring Break and we are thrilled to have put up a swing set a few days ago! We recently had a drainage system put in our backyard to control the flooding we get when it rains and now we have a great space for playing. The swing set also has a playhouse with little stools, window boxes, a chalkboard, and a phone. We just got a bucket swing to replace one of the regular swings so that Jules can enjoy swinging too. What fun the girls will have with this for years to come!

Gramps and Mimi Visit

Gramps and Mimi visited last weekend and we got a chance to celebrate Lily's, Juliet's, and Steven's birthdays all at once! Amy brought her baking supplies and the girls helped her make a Dora cake for Jules and a Sponge Bob cake for Lily and Gramps. The kids also got to make and decorate bunny Easter baskets in preparation for Easter. We have enjoyed having so many visitors this month!

Juliet is Two

Juliet turned two last week and she is growing quickly. At her doctor's checkup, she charted in the 95th percentile for height! She is very sweet tempered (except, of course, when she is throwing a tantrum) and she probably gets away with a lot just by being so cute. She loves dressing up, playing with dolls, singing and dancing, and anything to do with Dora.
Happy birthday Jules!

Birthday Celebrations

This month has been full of birthday surprises for the girls! Lily turned four last week and Juliet will turn two next week. With grandparents visiting and a children's party at our house, we have had multiple celebrations. (There has been lots of cake and ice cream.) Last weekend we had a dozen little girls over for Lily's much-anticipated birthday party. Lily wanted a Hello Kitty theme and it was all Hello Kitty decorations, crafts, and games. Our little ones do love being birthday girls!

January Pictures

Lily has been bringing lots of germs home from school and everyone in the family has been sick over and over this winter. We are all well for the time being, and we have a fun week planned. We're taking the girls to Disney on Ice this weekend, and next week I'm volunteering in Lily's class for the Valentine's Day party. She's very excited and has been making Valentines, including one for Mickey Mouse that we are to mail to Disney World. She is secretly making a special one for Jules, too, while her little sister naps.

When Lily was having a time out, Juliet put her chair next to sister and buckled up in solidarity.
