Eat Your Veggies

Lily isn't fond of vegetables. However, we've found that reverse psychology works amazingly well on toddlers. If we leave a serving bowl out before dinner and tell her not to eat it because it's for mommy and daddy, she will devour it with wicked delight, saying she will "eat it all gone" so there is none left for us. We just had to document it the first time this worked!

Lily's First Haircut

Yesterday Lily got her first haircut! It was getting really long in the back and she got several inches taken off. We saved a curly lock for her baby book. Here are the before and after shots...cute, right?

4 Month Checkup

This month Juliet discovered her feet, rejected pacifiers altogether in favor of her thumb, figured out how to roll over, started sleeping through the night, and then stopped sleeping through the night. At her 4-month doctor's visit last week her height was 25 1/4 inches and weight was 15 pounds, 11 ounces. That's the 80th percentile for height and 90th percentile for weight!

Lazy Days

This summer Lily has enjoyed riding on a boat for the first time, learning how to fish (minus the hook), and spending time with her cousins.

Portraits of the Girls

We have been wanting to get professional pictures of the girls taken since Juliet was born and finally did it. These were taken by Sue Todia of Simply Photography and they turned out really well! If you are interested in having portraits taken in the Fort Wayne area, you can see her other work at http://picasaweb.google.com/simplyphotography.sue and contact her at simplyphotography.sue@gmail.com.

Baltimore House

Michael and I went on a house hunting trip in Baltimore last week and found a house! Michael has been looking at houses when he is there for work and, after weeding out LOTS, we saw the best ones together. We made an offer on this house, in a suburb just outside of the city, and after five days of negotiations, they accepted our offer! The inspection is this week and we are hoping everything will go smoothly. Now we just need to sell our house...

July Pictures

Here are the latest pictures of the kids. They also had professional portraits taken this month, which I will be posting soon!
