Baseball Game

We took the girls to their first baseball game last weekend!  The Baltimore Orioles play at Camden Yards, which is a beautiful stadium, and we had a nice day for it.  The Orioles lost but we still had fun, and Lily and Juliet lasted until the 8th inning.  I think the highlight of the day for them was getting to eat cotton candy!

Lily's Graduation

Lily graduated from preschool last week and there was a special ceremony for family to attend.  The kids got up on the stage of the elementary school, where they sang a special song and received their diplomas.  Lily was adorable in her graduation cap and so proud of herself.  Afterwards we walked out through the cafeteria where the big kids were having lunch and everyone clapped and cheered when they saw Lily in her cap.  It was the cutest thing - she was so surprised and pleased that they were clapping for her!  We have videos here of the graduation song and of Lily getting her diploma, so you can see for yourself.

New Bikes

Lily and Juliet both got new two-wheeler bikes this Spring!  They have all the most important features - streamers, bells, and baby doll carriers.  Lily is getting quite good on hers but Jules doesn't really know how to ride yet.  The training wheels help them balance but they don't know how to stop yet, which means the grown-ups have to run alongside.  Their favorite part is bringing dolls along for the ride and ringing the bells.

Spring Pictures

As the weather has warmed up this Spring, we have gone from snuggling and tea parties to zoo trips and playing in the backyard.  The girls are soaking up the sun in the last picture - Lily said it felt like a warm blanket.

Easter Egg Hunt

We had our Easter egg hunt inside this year because it was a rainy day, but we still had fun searching for eggs, finding little surprises, and eating way too much candy!

Birthday Girls

I did a little photo shoot of the girls in their party dresses and had to post a bunch because they turned out so cute.  People continue to ask me if they are twins because they're pretty close in size.  At their annual checkup, we found that Lily is around the 15th percentile for her age and Juliet is around the 75th percentile for her age.  They are only a few inches and a few pounds apart...but Juliet still has her baby cheeks!

Lily and Juliet's Birthday Parties

March is birthday month for us!  Lily turned 5 this year, and two weeks later Juliet turned 3.  On each girl's birthday we had a morning birthday party that I think will become a tradition at our house.  We got their favorite donuts and put a big candle on top, sang happy birthday, and opened presents in jammies after breakfast.  What fun for kids to have a little party right away on their birthday and get to play with their new toys all day.  I volunteered at Lily's preschool on her birthday and we brought in cupcakes to celebrate again with her class.  Then we had a Littlest Pet Shop party for both of them the week between their birthdays with Nana, G.G. Loretta, the cousins, and a few of Lily and Juliet's best friends.  It has been an exciting month around here!
